India, Mumbai, Muslim, Chennai

Bloggers and writers better at their stuff than me have been writing about the atrocities happening in Mumbai now. I am not going to even try to talk about something I cannot even begin to comprehend. But there is just one thing I want to say - let us not use this as yet another reason to cast stones at others in the name of religion. Like Aamir Khan writes in his blog, terrorists have no religion. Spreading terror, creating divide is their goal so let us not fall into their trap.
This is an attack on India, against Indians not Hindus, Muslims or Jews or Christians. Let us not make it into something uglier than it is.
Some great articles on this tragedy:
Amit Varma’s eye-witness account
Great Bong’s thoughts on the tragedy
Naren’s advice to the Mumbai police
Meanwhile, Cyclone Nisha has taken a fancy to Tamil Nadu and is dowsing the city with a never-ending supply of rains. Hop over to Itchy’s blog for some great photos of Chennai roads. Friends who live in ground floor houses have all been forced to flee their homes and take refuge with generous relatives or guest houses till the waters abate. There were also some reports of people getting electrocuted due to the water getting into the electrics.
It is unbelievable that a metro boasts of such crappy infrastructure. Nice to see the taxes at work! When will change come to India, I wonder
